At DNA Child Paternity Testing Centers we utilize two sorts of testing procedures,
the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and the RFLP (Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism)

With the PCR method, DNA is alienated from the sample. Single genetic fragments are syntheticaly produced in the lab are labeled with flourescant tags. These tags enable gene detection with a laser.

The RFLP method alienates DNA that is sliced into fragments with enzymes. Anelectric current is used to categorize these fragments by size. These pieces of DNA are identified with DNA probes. The probes are parts of customized DNA that adhere to and identify a specific gene locus.
